On Saturday, January 13th, the Recreation Department hosted a New Year’s Eve Style celebration at Rex Manor Catering Hall in Brooklyn for nearly 100 of our program participants and their families. Recreation Director, Alecia Angevine, and staff Carmen Orellana and Danette Dargan, responded to the wishes of many of our program participants who had never experienced a formal New Year’s Party. Rex Manor was the perfect fully accessible location for this special event and their staff pulled out all the stops providing 12 different appetizers, extensive buffet dinner and Viennese style dessert hour. Everyone was excited to dress up for the occasion and dance the night away with a live DJ and themed lighting. Everyone had such a wonderful time that we are hoping to make this an annual event!
