Last month, ADAPT Community Network introduced its EMPOWERED video series, highlighting the world of opportunities that we provide for individuals living with disabilities.
In collaboration with an award-winning film maker Andrew Lawton, ADAPT brought to life the stories of Jamal, Shaniqua and Natalie.
In Episode #1, meet Jamal, who has traveled to work at the Yankee Stadium by subway each day for the past eight years. Jamal possesses a strong work ethic and a positive spirit that so many of the individuals within the diverse ADAPT community exhibit. In Episode #2, meet Shaniqua, who takes to the slopes in upstate New York and fulfills an item on her bucket list by participating in adaptive skiing for the first time. Episode #3, illustrates how Art Specialist Natalie Reichel helps individuals with disabilities express their creativity through digital art at the beautiful New York Botanical Gardens.
